Egar dogs in danger of becoming homeless!

April, 17: We have found new premises due to an urgent appeal on Galway Bay FM, many many thanks to Valerie Hughes for helping us out!!! BUT - we need to start from scratch. None of our kennels are portable so we need to leave them behind and are in URGENT need of help with materials such as galvanised sheets, runs, kennels, fencing, screws, nails, timber, slabs, sand etc. You get the picture... We also need a mobile home we can convert into a quarantine unit, so it doesn't have to be fancy and it must be free. If you can help us in ANY way, be it that you have materials, are a dab hand at DIY and have a few hours to spare or you have an idea to raise much needed funds etc, please contact us: 086-1545454!

Also, due to the fact that we are moving with immediate effect EGAR will NOT take in any dogs, please do not contact us if you have a dog you want to rehome as we are in NO position to help for the time being...

We have received devastating news on the 19th of September. The owner of the property we ran EGAR from has fallen ill and must sell the house and grounds in order for him to raise enough funds to return home to Germany and for his treatment.

Which means we have to find a new place for EGAR by January 2008 or all the dogs/animals here are in peril. There is no way we can pay the app. 160.000 Euro the house and grounds are worth so we must find new accomodations.

We are looking for a cottage/house with about 2 acres of land and outbuilding we can convert to kennels and runs. We are not fussy about the house as long as it has running water, electricity and a landline. We cannot buy only rent and the rent must be fairly low in order for us to be able to keep operating. EGAR is Ireland's only Bull Breed Rescue, without EGAR the Bullies will have no place to go to. If you are in the position to help us, please phone Sarah on 086-1545454. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
